As part of our Christmas preparations we have been learning about the Christingle. The orange represents the world, the four sticks represent the seasons as well as North, South, East and West, the raisins (can be sweets) represent fruits of the world and God's gifts, the red ribbon reminds us that Jesus died on the cross, the candle in the middle (we used a pipecleaners) represents God's love shining in the darkness.
