Water, water everywhere.

23rd Apr 2020

Hi everybody.  Here is a link to some really great water related activities that you can do.  They're from Affinity Water's Education team and definitely worth having a look at.

Affinity Water’s Education Team are excited to share our new video series “Explore Water and Nature”! You’ll find lots of practical water and environmental activities for primary schools and families! Copy this link into your search bar: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjZuN_0C_rf8_zH4PbG24JP4mxMZ6JVXY

Why not try doing our ‘slow the flow’ or ‘dripping tap’ experiments, building a bug hotel, carrying out a home water audit, or making a weather station, a water clock, a bird’s nest or camouflage caterpillars?

These free educational videos offer a wide range of fun and practical activities, with a water and environmental twist! They are suitable for primary school aged children, to be completed in school or at home with the family.

All of our activities are simple to set up and only use materials that are readily available within schools and households e.g. pens, paper, measuring jug, cup etc. There is content to accommodate those with and without access to private outdoor spaces.

We’ve made an Explore Water and Nature playlist on the Affinity Water YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCck9YaJXs8ntRJDFHmRMNbg - with all of our videos - and we’ll be updating it regularly with new content.

Have a look, have a go and feel free to share them with your local community. We’d love to know how you get on!
