As part of our efforts to improve the children's creativity, independence and fine motor-skills we set them two challenges this afternoon. The first was to make an egg box dragon puppet the second was to create a fire breathing dragon using a toilet roll. Afterwards we talked about how important it is to recycle and reuse rubbish whenever we can. The theme of recycling is our topic focus this term. Over the coming weeks the children will be looking at home building and then creating their own architect house models from recycled junk materials. They will be looking at joining materials, designing, planning and evaluating as part of this DT project.
