Over the next two terms 2J will be studying about plants. They will observe what are the optimum conditions a plant needs to grow healthily, how a seed germinates and which types of plants grow in our local habitats.
So far the children have observed what the structure of a broad bean is like and drawing a sketch of these parts and describing what they do.
They have set up an ongoing experiment to see if they can get Horse-Chestnut, Crab Apple or Hazel twigs to grow roots.
They have also planted some indoor and outdoor bulbs in term 2 and are observing their growth throughout spring.
