In RE we have been learning about a Jewish special day called Shabbat. This is celebrated every Saturday when Jewish people don't do any work at all. They also don't watch any TV or use any electronic devices. Some of us thought this would be really tricky but we also realised that these days can be very special family days. Part of the celebration includes saying a special blessing over some wine or grape juice. We all tried some red grape juice and talked about the blessings that we have heard in assembly or listened to when Reverend Bob says his blessings in church. We sang our assembly blessing 'The Lord Bless You'.
