Pupils in Year 5 have enjoyed learning about the Victorian diet in particular comparing the different foods consumed by the wealthy classes and the working classes. Inspired by workhouse recipes we decided to make rock cakes. This was a great learning experience as we also go to use our maths skills for measuring on a scale and converting units of weight.
