On Wednesday 4th May the children in Years 4 and 5, along with the Hand Bell group, took part in an Instrumental Performance Day at Harvey Grammar School, alongside children from many of the other local primary schools. The Year 4s played their Recorders, 5J played Ukuleles and 5O played Djembe drums. There were also violins and brass instruments played by children from some of the other schools. The day had to be divided into two sessions as so many children wanted to take part.The Harvey Grammar School Band also played to the primary children and joined with them to play combined pieces. The sessions culminated in all children (about 300 in total at each session!) joining together to perform Mamma Mia.
The children really enjoyed this amazing experience and many are looking forward to going again next year.
