As part of our topic 'All that Rubbish' Year 1 have been making junk model houses. First we looked at different homes around the world and used our maths skills to observe the shapes featured in the different styles. Next the children collected their junk materials they wanted to chose to make their homes and worked on the exterior. After that they chose to make items for the interior of their homes. This included curtains, hinged doors, rugs/carpets, pictures and picture frames, chairs and wall paper.
