Year 2 have looked at solving division problems by sharing counters to represent objects from the real world e.g. cars, flowers, sweets, children etc... They then looked at how they can record this worked out as jottings too. We repeated this process for dividing by way of grouping too.
This can be repeated at home using sweets, toys, coins, buttons or other household objects.
