Today 2J ventured out into the wintery Paddock and Nature Area habitats of the school grounds. The children used tree ID cards to identify the species by their twig colour and bud size. Then they sketched and labelled any trees, plants and animals they saw in these habitats. The children we able to recognise that as it is Winter in the UK at this time of year many trees have lost their leaves and many other living things will be hibernating or hiding in the soil.
