In geography year 1 have been learning about urban and rural areas. This week we walked around our local urban area to spot some of the features that we have in our town. There are many human features (made by people) and not so many physical features (naturally occurring). We are starting to understand the difference between human and physical features, urban and rural, towns, cities, villages and hamlets. Ask the children if they can remember the four countries that make up Europe and see if they can tell you what the capital cities are.
