Frequently asked Q&A

How can my child attend a club?
In School terms 1, 3 and 5 a letter is sent out with a list of all the available clubs. Tick the box which your child would like to attend. Make sure it relates to their year group and send it to the Club Coordinator.

What happens next?
After School Activities are very popular and there is a limited number of spaces to each club. Your child will receive a letter informing them if they have been successful in getting in to their chosen club.

What happens if my child does not get into any club?
We do our best to ensure each child who applies for a club is offered a place at a club. If your child is unfortunate and does not receive any correspondence from Club Leaders they have applied for please do not be too dishearten. They will be placed on a waiting list and offered a club as soon as a place is available.
Alternatively, if your child is aged 8 and above the school is host to the Community Youth Club which operates every Wednesday until 5:15pm.

When do the Clubs start?
On your child’s letter there will be a start and finish date. But usually the second full week into a new term.

Where will my child go for their club?
Again this information will be on your child’s letter.
Infant children are collected by their Club Leader from their classroom.
Juniors go straight to their Club Leaders allocated room.

When and where do I collect my child?
Most clubs finish at 4:00pm.
Please collect your child from the Community Building, it may be busy as several Clubs are departing this way.

Can anyone collect my child?
If your child is going to be collected by someone else please inform your club leader in a form of a letter. Make sure it is a person known to your child and they are aware of the new arrangement.
Children who attend Christ Church Nursery will be escorted there.
You will need to make your own arrangements with all other After School Clubs unrelated to the school.

Can my child walk home by him/herself?
Only year 6 children may walk home with their parents’ written permission.  Please inform the Club Leader of this arrangement.
